🎉 WNP Fun Run – Tomorrow! 🏃‍♂️☀️
We can’t wait to see our students and families at tomorrow’s Fun Run! Here’s everything you need to know:

🕒 Fun Run Schedule

  • 8:30–9:20 AM | 2nd Grade

  • 9:25–9:50 AM | ESE Indoor Run

  • 10:00–11:00 AM | Kindergarten & Pre-K

  • 12:00–1:00 PM | 1st Grade

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Attendance & Check-In

  • Parents and family members are welcome to attend as visitors.

  • All visitors must bring a state-issued photo ID (⚠️ military IDs are not accepted for sign in) and sign in at the front office.

  • School board approved volunteers who RSVPd in advance will have a separate check-in table in the lobby to pick up their pre-printed badge.

  • All other visitors should keep to the right to enter the front office for sign-in.

🚪 Arrival Reminder for 2nd Grade Families
If you’re attending the 2nd grade run, please do not enter the building until after 8:20 AM, once car rider arrival is finished. Early arrivals will be asked to wait outside.

👟 Student Reminders

  • Wear running shoes and clothes appropriate for activity.

  • Bring a water bottle.

  • Hats and sunglasses are allowed.

  • If your child will wear sunscreen, please apply it at home before school (school staff cannot apply sunscreen).

🚗 Parking Information

  • Parking will be available in the front lots and at the church.

  • The bus ramp will open for parking around 8:20 AM.

  • Please do not park near gates and keep a clear driving lane around the bus ramp in case EMS needs to access the back of the school.

  • All adults must enter through the front office.

📝 Checking Out Students After the Run
If you plan to check your child out early after the Fun Run, you must:

  • Walk to your child’s classroom with their teacher

  • Complete the checkout form in the classroom.

🚻 Extra Clothes Tip: We’ve seen an increase in bathroom accidents this year, so you may want to pack an extra set of clothes and undergarments in your child’s backpack—just in case!

👥 Visitors are welcome but must sign in with a state-issued ID during our standard visitor check-in process. Due to the number of visitors on campus, there will likely be a line.

West Navarre Primary is seeking up to four parent representatives to serve on district advisory councils this school year.

📌 Title I Parent Advisory Council (PAC)

Meets Oct. 14, Jan. 20, and April 7

5:30–7:30 PM

📌 District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC)

Meets Oct. 6, Jan. 13, and April 14

5:00–7:00 PM

📍 All meetings are at the Dillon Administrative Complex in Milton.
👥 Parents may serve on one or both councils.

These meetings are led by Superintendent Dr. Karen Barber and district leaders, and are a chance for parents to bring fresh ideas and positive perspectives to help shape our schools.

Students will shop during their library time, and parents are welcome to join—just check with your child’s teacher for their class shopping schedule. Parents who attend during the school day must sign in at the front office with a state-issued ID.

🛍️ The Book Fair will also be open during Open House (5:00–6:00 PM) for family shopping!

🚨 New Security Check-In for Daytime Events 🚨

Beginning this school year, all visitors at daytime, schoolwide events (like Boosterthon, Field Days, Veterans Day, and class parties) must complete our security check-in process.

Hello West Navarre Primary Families,

This is Ms. Goodin, assistant principal of West Navarre Primary School, with an important message for parents and families. We have conducted a lockdown drill at school today as part of our regular emergency drill process as required by state law. We know that drills can cause possible concerns for our students, but we believe it’s important for them to know exactly what to do in an emergency and these practice drills enhance their safety. Again, all students are safe, and this is simply a required lockdown drill. Thank you for your understanding and support.
