Hello WNP Families,

Today, we conducted a lockdown drill as part of our regular emergency preparedness process required by state law.

Before and during the drill, it was clearly explained to students multiple times that this was only a practice drill and not an actual emergency. We know these drills can sometimes cause concern, but they are essential to ensure students know exactly what to do in the event of a real emergency.

Please note: This drill was scheduled by the district in August and had nothing to do with the possible threat that occurred at another district school yesterday.

All students are safe, and this was simply a required practice drill. Thank you for your understanding and support as we work together to keep our school community safe.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope this message finds you well! We would like to inform you about an important update regarding the return of library books at our school.

As we work to update and improve our library circulation system, library books will not be able to be returned until after the Holiday break.

Here’s what you need to know:
Overdue books: Any books that were or become overdue will remain checked out until the new system is fully operational.

Return period: We will send out an update once the new system is in place, and library books can be returned and checked out as usual.

Holiday Break: We encourage students to continue enjoying their books over the break, and we appreciate your support in this transition period.

We understand this may cause some confusion, especially with notices being emailed, and we appreciate your cooperation as we work to enhance the way our library operates. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Brown (BrownEL@santarosa.k12.fl.us).

Thank you for your understanding, and we wish you and your family a wonderful Holiday season!
